Al Qur'aan, The Infallible Word Of Allah

The Qur'aan-e-Karim is the perfect book of Allah Ta'aala.  "This Book has no doubt in it – a guidance for the pious" (2: 2)

Allah Ta'aala has revealed this sacred book to our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallaahou A'laihi Wasallam).  The revelation took place gradually over a period of 23 years.  The Qur'aan-e-Karim is the last holy book which Allah Ta'aala sent down to the greatest and final Prophet (Sallallaahou A'laihi Wasallam).

Allah Ta'aala, the one and only Creator of the whole universe, is full of compassion towards His creation.  Through the Qur'aan, Allah has shown a clear and unequivocal path which will allow His creation to enter Jannah (Paradise) and be saved from Jahannam (Hell).

"Surely, this Qur'aan guides to something that is most straightforward, and gives glad tidings to the believers who do good deeds that there is a great reward for them; and that We have prepared a painful punishment for those who do not believe in the Hereafter.” (17: 9-10)

"We reveal the Qur'aan, which is cure and mercy for the believers; and it adds nothing to the unjust but loss." (17:82)

The path that the Qur'aan has paved is the only path of salvation as the Qur'aan supersedes all previous revelations.  This is why the Qur'aan-e-Karim is a guide for the whole world and to the entire humanity.  It is not intended for the Muslims only.  Prosperity will be for the one who adopts the Qur'aan-e-Karim as a guide, whereas the one who has doubts in this sacred book and turns his back towards it, will be at a loss.

"We have sent down to you the Book for the people with truth. So, whoever follows the guidance, it is for his own good, and whoever goes astray, he will go astray only to his own detriment...” (39:41)

And Rasulullah (Sallallaahou A'laihi Wasallam) said: "Certainly Allah Ta'aala honours a certain group of people through this sacred book (the Qur'aan) and also dishonours other groups by the same holy book." (Muslim)

The Qur'aan is an inexhaustible source of wisdom.  Its recitation and memorisation are blessed actions that overwhelm us with Divine grace, transform us, revive our faith and fill our hearts with light.  This is why Rasulullah (Sallallaahou A'laihi Wasallam) has warned us saying,

"He who has nothing of the Qur'aan-e-Karim in his heart is like a deserted house." (Tirmizi)

So, it is incumbent upon us to make the required effort to memorise at least some Sourahs that will benefit us in our Salaahs.  In doing so, we prevent Satan from occupying our heart.  And we should recite the Qur'aan daily because it contains immense rewards.  Note that the recitation of the Qur'aan which is being referred to here is reciting without understanding.  There are some people who think that such a recitation is devoid of reward.  This is completely false.  Reciting the Qur'aan is an Ibaadah in itself.  No doubt, a person who understands what he reads will be much more rewarded.
