asslm, can u please explain how property should be divided to wife and children.how much share should each get? any reference would be appreciated.

Answer

Wa alaikumus salaam. In the presence of children wife will inherit one eighth of the estate and when there is no children she will receive one quarter. As for children generally male get double to the share of a female. (Surah Nisaa, Verse No 11,12). Please forward us more details to work on your particular query.
