Answer

Walaikum salaam wa rahmatullah,

1. The azaan should be replied in the heart unlike the normal 5 times salah. (Mahmoodiyya - 334/8)
2. The hadith says that you should repeat the same wordings as the Muazzin. Hence, there is no need for darood. (Ahsanul fataawa - 278/2)
