Stuck with saliva

Nowadays, you find that the friendship of people is like something that is stuck with saliva. That is, it is a friendship that does not last for long. They can sacrifice their lives for something that is very simple and that may seem very useless. Likewise, they can become your enemy for no reason or simply because your good approach did not satisfy their unhealthy and perverse tendency.

In short, they are not stable in their friendship. They change colour by the minute. It is a childish attitude that is not worthy of those who are truly intelligent. As for a wise person whose heart Allah Ta’ala has enlightened with Nur-e-Imaan, he will always know how to assess the dimension of everything and he will treat everything according to its merit. He may disagree with someone but not to the point that he says something that doesn't exist about his 'opponent'. His wisdom, his knowledge and his Deen prevent him from slipping away. If, by principle, he does not tolerate the smudges of his adversary, he does not refuse to accept his good qualities and his virtues also. He does not allow himself to be blinded by his personal interest that makes him ignore the merits that his friend may possess. In this context, there is a theory that says:

"It is better to have an intelligent opponent than a foolish friend."

According to the Hadith of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), to forget all the benefits of a friend due to a small reproach, is the character of a woman. Thus, we must adjust and balance ourselves through the company of pious people to be able to give a good judgment in regards to someone and to have a good friendship that is based on a solid foundation because Nur-e-Imaan is developed by staying for a long period of time with those who have a firm and solid Imaan. Otherwise, we will not be able to do justice to ourselves. We will not be able to be just to others. Thus, we may dislike the one whom we loved yesterday just like we can be ready to sacrifice our lives tomorrow for someone whom we dislike today. And all this is in an unjustified way. Thus, that friendship will not be more than a friendship stuck with saliva that does not take long to be detached.
