The kite

Your life is like a kite. As long as it is tied to a rope and it is in the hand of people, it continues to fly. And people keep on appreciating it. Despite its head spin and its turning left and right, it keeps maintaining the altitude. But as soon as it breaks the line, it becomes very easy prey for all those who want to cause it harm. First of all, it falls into the prickle that tears it up. Children further tear it apart. And finally it lands in the bin where the garbage collector picks it up and disposes of it in order to have it burned. 

This is how a person should grab the rope of Allah Ta’ala. Herein, lays his well-being and security. Regardless of what happens, he will at least remain within the limits. But as soon as he breaks the line and turns his back, he becomes like an object which is torn by all those who take pleasure in tearing it.

When will people understand that their complete well being lies in knowing how to reinforce their relationship with their Rabb? What will people lose by sacrificing a little for an eternal salvation? This logic is simple but the hearts do not want to understand. This also can be facilitated. But at least a person must spend few days in the company of a person who has this will, that is, the firm and solid conviction in Aakhirah which he has developed in himself. Normally, conviction is transmitted to a person by staying for a considerable amount of time in the company of those who have this conviction.
