Reward of a Mu'min in the Aakhirah
Allah Ta'ala has reserved a lot of rewards for a Mu'min in the Aakhirah. This is detailed in The Qur'aan-e-Karim and in the Hadith. It is difficult or even impossible to know the true value of these rewards with our limited means. It suffices to know that a Mu'min will get whatever he asks for and whatever he wants. Desire is something that no one has the capacity to satisfy, because the means can be exhausted but the desire will continue to remain. This is in the capacity of Allah Ta'ala. Only He can satisfy the desire of every person because the treasure of Allah Ta'ala is such a treasure that does not diminish. It is Insaan who will be tired of asking until he will not know what more to desire and what more to ask for. But the treasure of Allah Ta'ala will not diminish even by one iota also.
But a person must have Imaan and die on that Imaan so that he can obtain whatever Allah Ta'ala has reserved as a reward for him. Even a tiny spark of Imaan also has the ability to make someone enter Jannah. This gives us an idea of the value of Imaan. That is why the 'Ulama say that there is no fortune that is more valuable than the fortune of Imaan.
The benefits of the fortune that one possesses are restricted to this worldly life. But Imaan is such a fortune that will make one enjoy eternal well-being. That is why, it is better to lose everything but not our Imaan. All righteous people have accepted to undergo all kinds of sacrifices to preserve their Imaan. The most effective way to protect Imaan is to stay in the company of those who are very serious in Deen.
