- APPLICATION FOR HALAL CERTIFICATE
The eyes, a great favour of Allah Ta’ala
Alhamdulillah, Allah Ta’ala has given us eyes. We can see everything and look everywhere. Perhaps those who do not have this favour know its value better than those who have it. Similarly, those who have some problems in their eyes and are spending a lot of money to protect their eyes, may know its value. And if we really want to know its value, we should ask those who may have spent a fortune to protect them. And those who have lost them would be willing to spend a fortune if that could restore their eyesight. But Alhamdulillah, without any effort on our part, Allah Ta’ala has granted us this favour which is an inestimable gift. If we did not have it, we would have wished with much regret that if we had it, we would have made Tilawat-ul-Qur'an. We would have performed the 5 Salah in congregation in the Masjid. We would have helped the next person. But today, when we have it, we are misusing it by looking at Haraam things such as girls, women, among other impure things. We do not have time to read the Qur’an-e-Kareem. Our time is being spent in front of this television screen that has distanced us and our family from Deen. Is this the compensation that we have for this inestimable favour that our Rabb has granted us? No doubt, we are ungrateful. There is a great punishment for such ungrateful people. It begins in Dunya when Allah Ta’ala snatches away the favours that He has granted us, one by one. There is only one solution. We repent, we ask Allah Ta’ala for forgiveness and we rectify our lives. Certainly, Allah Ta’ala will forgive us because He is the Great Forgiving.
According to a Hadith, there are three eyes that will not enter the fire of Jahannam on the day of Qiyamah:
1. "An eye that has spent the night in guarding the frontier of Islam."
2. "An eye that has shed tears due to the fear of Allah Ta’ala."
3. "An eye that refrained from things that Allah Ta’ala has prohibited."
