- APPLICATION FOR HALAL CERTIFICATE
Parts of an animal that must not be consumed
Blood is impure. The Qur’an-e-Kareem has prohibited the consumption of blood and has declared it Haraam. Therefore, it is not permissible to consume blood. This is the reason why the Shari’ah has commanded the slaughtering of an animal in order for that animal to become Halaal. Performing Zabah allows all the impure blood to come out of the animal. This blood is termed as "Dam Masfooh" in the Qur’an-e-Kareem, that is, a blood that circulates in the veins. And it is this blood that is impure and Haraam. The blood that remains in the meat is neither impure nor Haraam to consume.
Similarly, the sexual organ, testicles, bladder, black bile, etc. are among the parts of an animal that are not permissible to be consumed.
