Do not blame the mirror

To see the marks on your face, you must look at the mirror. However, if you see a defect, you must not blame the mirror, rather try to remove the marks on your face because the defect is in you. If someone has to be blamed, it is you who should be blamed. The mirror helped you by showing you what is on your face. The mirror has no defect. Similarly, if a person draws your attention to a defect in you, you should be grateful to that person. You should not be angry with him. If ever, you were going with a half-shaved moustache to propose to a girl and a person drew your attention on time, you will thank that person because he saved you from great humiliation. It is not easy to appear like a cartoon in front of a whole family, especially when you are going to see a girl where you should appear the smartest possible in your life. Similarly, we have to present in front of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, in front of our Rabb, in front of our beloved. We must make maximum effort in order to present ourselves in a desirable way. If a person draws our attention regarding something that may make us appear undesirable in front of our Rabb on the day of Qiyamah, we must thank him a lot. We must follow the fashion and the perfect model of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) in order to appear good in the sight of Allah Ta’ala.
