Love for Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and his Sunnah

A person had 1000 Dinar in his possession. He was preparing to go for Hajj. When everything was ready and he was on his way for Hajj, he met a lady on the way. The lady said that she was a descendant of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and she was in great difficulty. This person gave her everything that he had. Thus, he could not go for Hajj and had to return home.

After Hajj was over, all the Hajis who met him, was wishing him Hajj Maqbul, that is, a Hajj that has been accepted. He was surprised and wondered how people could wish him that when he did not go for Hajj. At night, he dreamt of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) who had informed him that Allah Ta’ala has created a Farishta in his form (the form of that person) who has performed Hajj on his behalf. Moreover, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had announced to him that that Farishta will continue to perform Hajj on his behalf until Qiyaamah because he has helped a descendant of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). The person had helped that lady due to his love for Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Loving Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) is something very noble, exalted and blessed. So, whatever this person has benefited was due to his love which he showed for Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) by helping a descendent of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).

Following the Sunnah and the principle of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) are even more blessed than this. Through this, we can get an idea of the amount of blessings that is showered on a person who loves Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and follows his Sunnah.

Unfortunately, we do not know the value of this love. We have allowed all kinds of impurity to penetrate our heart and we are proud to follow the impure principles of the kuffaar. That is not all! We qualified following the Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) as extremism! Whereas Allah Ta’ala is satisfied with us and pours down His blessings upon us when we follow Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Others may not know this or may not believe in this. However, we know that Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) must be our most beloved. And this cannot be proved merely by uttering it with the tongue. We must show it by following his Sunnah in our whole life. There is a great light in the Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). The one who will practice it, his life will be illuminated in Dunya, Qabr and Aakhirah. And this is the greatest proof of his love for Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).

اللهم ارزقنا حبك وحب نبيك محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم

O Allah! Grant me Your love and the love of Your Nabi Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).
