Habeebullah (the beloved of Allah Ta’ala)

Our Nabi Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) is the beloved of Allah Ta’ala. That is why we call him Habeebullah also. When he is the beloved of Allah Ta’ala, then he must also be the beloved of all Muslims also. Therefore, our Nabi (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) is our Habeeb (beloved). If we have the right, privilege and honour to call Nabi (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) our Habeeb, then it is a great gift from Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala has given us prestige through this. So, having affection for Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) makes us valuable and prestigious.

The prestige that Allah Ta’ala has granted us through the love of His Rasul (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) increases even more when we manifest it in our everyday lives. And this love is manifested by remaining in the obedience of Allah Ta’ala according to the Sunnah and principle of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam). When we follow Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) in Ibaadah, behaviour, eating and drinking, sleeping, dressing and in all our activities, we are manifesting our love for Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam). It is very strange to accept Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) as our Habeeb without admiring his Sounnah. If we had admired his Sounnah, then we would not be able to live without practicing it in our lives. And if we are following the actors, actresses, footballers, dancers and singers in our way of living/lifestyle, this shows that we admire and appreciate these people. By adopting such a lifestyle, we are showing that our Habeeb are these Faasiqs (those who violate the laws of Islam). This is Zulum and injustice towards Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam). We are giving the Faasiqs the admiration and appreciation that we should have been given him. Others are doing Zulum towards Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) due to not acknowledging his value/worth. We are not less guilty than these people in committing Zulum. If we take a closer look, we will take note that we are the greatest Zaalim (unjust) because we claim to love him but we follow others.

By following Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam), we are following the greatest person who could have existed on earth because there is nothing dearer to Allah Ta’ala in the entire creation than Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam). So, to follow Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) is to follow the greatest fashion and the noblest principle. It is by following this way of life that humanity can attain its real dignity.
