A way to refrain from sins

If a person remains in the state of Wuzu, this may help him to refrain from sins to some extent because when he will be in the state of Wuzu, he will have the willpower and desire to remain in Zikrullah. As we know, Zikrullah protects a person from Shaitaan who wants to ruin him at all costs. Therefore, Zikrullah will serve as a protection against Shaitaan and will keep him away from sins. In a Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) informed us that Shaitaan clench / adhere to the heart of a person. When he makes Zikr, Shaitaan goes away from his heart and when he stops making Zikr, Shaitaan returns to trouble him with all types of evil thoughts. Similarly, when a person is in the state of Wuzu, he tries to preserve the value of this Wuzu by refraining from looking at Haraam things. He preserves his mouth, ears and all the organs of his body from things that are not right. In this sense, Wuzu serves as a shield and a type of protection against Shaitaan. Moreover, according to the Hadith, Wuzu purifies a person of his previous sins. So, it is also a means of purification. Remaining in the state of Wuzu is one of the reasons that granted Hazrat Bilal (Radiyallahu Anhu) the honour of having the sound of his footsteps heard in Jannah by Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).
