Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu)

Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu) was the son of Hazrat Ar-Roubayyi (Radiyallahu Anhu). Hazrat Haaritha (Radiyallahu Anhu) was Shaheed in the Battle of Badr. His mother wanted to know the abode of her son in Aakhirah. In response, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) informed her that Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu) is in Al-Firdaus-al-A'la.

Jannah is composed of several levels. According to the Hadith, Jannat-ul-Firdaus is the highest rank in Jannah. Therefore, according to this Hadith, Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu) had received the highest rank in Jannah.

According to the Qur'aan-e-Kareem and Hadith of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), Jannah is a place where there is neither any problem, nor worry or any type of difficulty. Jannah is a place where there is total well-being. It is a place where you will not only get what you need, but also what you ask for and what you desire. 

If we want to occupy the position of a king or a multi-billionaire for example - as according to us, they are in well-being and they can procure whatever they need - then Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu) is more worthy of us desiring to occupy his position. This is because what Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu) had received is eternal. He will never lose it. A well-being that will remain forever is more worthy to wish for. In Qur'aan-e-Kareem Allah Ta’ala says:

"Whoever is saved from the Fire and entered into Jannah shall truly be successful." (S3 V185)

Hazrat Haaritha Bin Souraaqah (Radiyallahu Anhu) has attained this real success due to sacrificing his life in the path of Allah Ta’ala. If we are not ready to do this much, at least we may sacrifice our desires for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala. This also has its worth in the eyes of Allah Ta’ala.

Moreover, Jannah is a favour of Allah Ta’ala. We must not hesitate to implore Allah Ta’ala for His favour. And when we ask, we must ask excessively without hesitation. In a Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said that when you ask Allah Ta’ala, ask Him for Jannat-ul-Firdaus.

We are proud of you – O Haaritha (Radiyallahu Anhu)! You have attained real success. May Allah Ta’ala grant us His favour through His kindness and grace. (Ameen)
