Reciting the Qur'an without moving the lips in Salah

Q. If I don't move my lips while reciting the Qur'an in the Salah, is my Salah valid?

A. Qira'at (recitation of the Qur'an) in the Salah is Farz (obligatory) on the Imam and the Munfarid (the one who does the Salah alone). Qira'at is the reading of the Qur'an, i.e. the pronunciation of the letters of the Qur'an, and this pronunciation is not possible without moving the tongue and the lips. Therefore, the Salah in which one recites the Qur'an in the heart, i.e., without moving the tongue and lips, is not valid.
