Delaying the bath if time is short

Q. After a wet dream, ghusl obviously becomes obligatory. Am I allowed to delay the bath if time is short and begin the fast in this state of impurity, or should I refrain from fasting?
A. The janaabat (state of major ritual impurity) caused by marital relations or a wet dream does not prevent one from fasting. Therefore, it is permissible to begin the fast even if one has not yet performed ghusl. In fact, fasting remains obligatory even in such a condition.

In a Hadith, Hadhrat ‘Aisha (Radiyallahu ‘anha) says:

"When Subh-e-Saadiq would arrive while Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam) was in a state of janaabat, he would still fast."

However, it is essential to note that Salah cannot be performed while in a state of janaabat. Therefore, ghusl must be completed before Salat-ul-Fajr. Failure to do so would result in neglecting an obligatory prayer.

Let us also take this opportunity to advise parents not to make comments when their children perform ghusl at such times or do so frequently. Such remarks may lead to embarrassment, causing them to avoid ghusl despite being in a state of impurity, and as a result, they may neglect their prayers.
