AN ANTI-SUNNAH REFLECTION

REFLECTION:

"When will your mother, your wife, and your sister acquire Islamic education if you do not open the door of the Masjid for them?"

ANSWER:
The mosque will open its doors to women only:

  1. When the following qualities prevail in the Ummah:
    • The steadfastness of Hadhrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Radiyallahu ‘anhu),
    • The firmness of Hadhrat ‘Umar (Radiyallahu ‘anhu),
    • The haya (modesty) of Hadhrat ‘Uthman (Radiyallahu ‘anhu), and
    • The piety of Hadhrat ‘Ali (Radiyallahu ‘anhu).
  2. When certain pseudo-Mujtahids completely desist from interpreting the Deen of Allah Ta‘ala according to their personal inclinations, which are often based merely on translated books.
  3. When people cease:

a. Declaring themselves as “scholars”, and
b. Toying with the Deen.

4. When those who closed this door (i.e., the door of the mosque to women) themselves take the initiative to reopen it—by first creating the necessary conditions as mentioned above.

The reflection quoted above is anti-Sunnah because our beloved Prophet, Hadhrat Muhammad Mustafa (Sallallaahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam), never encouraged women to attend the mosque. On the contrary, he clearly stated that the Salah of a woman performed at home, in a secluded corner of her house, is better than that performed elsewhere.

Since this reflection promotes the idea of encouraging women to come to the mosque, it directly contradicts the practice and guidance of Nabi-e-Karim (Sallallaahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam). Therefore, it is anti-Sunnah.

Let us reflect upon this carefully!
