Not having permission to go and perform the Salah of Jumuʿah

Q. My boss refuses to grant me permission to go and perform the Salah of Jum'ah. What should I do?

A. The Salah of Jumu'ah is a fundamental principle of Islam and is the second pillar of Islam. It is obligatory for every Baaligh (pubescent) and sane Muslim to perform it. For someone who frequently misses the Salah of Jumu'ah, there is a severe warning from the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam). According to a Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam) informs us that Allah will seal the heart of such a person. May Allah protect us.

It is therefore clear that as a Muslim, you cannot continue working in a place where there are no facilities for performing Salat-ul- Jumu'ah. Hurry up and find another job. May Allah Ta'ala help you. Ameen!
