Answer

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته All the Ambiya (Alaihimoussalaam) went through great test and trial throughout their lives. Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas رضى الله عنه said, I said: "O Rasooloullah! Which people are most severely tested?" He said: "The Prophets, then those nearest to them, then those nearest to them....(Tirmidhi 2398) But with regard to specific test in tableegh, we have not come across any Aayaat or Ahadith which mention the difficulties that Nabi Sulayman (Alaihis Salaam) went through while doing tableegh like other Ambiya (Alaihimoussalaam) faced from their people. Since Nabi Sulayman was a powerful king with authority over humans, jinn and nature, apparently it seems that his test was mostly personal. For example, when the throne of Bilqis was brought in the blink of an eye before Nabi Sulayman’s glance returned, he turned his attention towards Allah Ta'ala and give thanks instead of turning his attention towards his authority or the ability of his men. Allah Ta’ala said in Sourah Naml aayat 40, referring to Nabi Sulayman (Alaihis Salaam), ...And when he (Sulayman) saw it (throne) placed before him, he said, This is from the favor of my Rabb to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful.... And Allah knows best. Answered by: (Mf) Abdul Haadi For the Jamiatul Ulama of Mauritius
