The mirror is in front of you

You are hesitant to displease someone who has done you a favour but you are not ashamed to disobey the one who created you and gave you everything that you need? Do you see any logic in becoming the slave of someone who did you a favour in your life and becoming like a rebel against the One who is pouring out His favours on you incessantly?

Someone helped you to get a good job or got a good job for your child. You become grateful to him for the rest of your life. One day it so happens that he sends you an invitation. It is an invitation that goes against your principles. But you say that you cannot displease him because you owe him a lot for everything that he did for you and your family. But have you ever thought that this earth on which you are living, this oxygen that you are breathing 24 hours a day, this food that you are consuming and this health that you are enjoying, have you ever realised who has granted you all that? You must be somehow intelligent and grateful to say that it is Allah Ta’ala who granted you all this. We congratulate you for your intelligence and your gratitude that at least you recognise the favours that your Rabb is showering on you. Alhamdulillah, your intelligence still works. But use your intelligence a bit more. Are you acting well? Are you showing your gratitude for these favours? Allah Ta’ala has made 5 times Salah obligatory on you, but you are neglecting it either by not performing it at all or by not performing it regularly. A small outing, an engagement, a wedding, a little tiredness, a little headache suffice to make you neglect your Salah. Here, you don't realise that you are displeasing your Rabb who has given you everything. You do not hesitate to disobey His commandments. If you are funded by one political group, you will not dare to raise the flag of another group. If someone does it, you will not hesitate to qualify him as a betrayer because he has betrayed his group. And if you are a bit angry, you will not hesitate to qualify him as a ''Nimak Haraam''. Now take a look. You are living on the land of Allah Ta’ala. It is Allah Ta’ala who is nourishing you. It is Allah Ta’ala who has given you time, courage and energy. It is Allah Ta’ala who granted you all faculties along with your ability. This means that you must be in the party of Allah Ta’ala. You must do what Allah Ta’ala loves. You must remain in His obedience. However, you celebrated Christmas. You celebrated New Year. You lit firecrackers. You imitated others. In doing all this, you have raised the flag of another party instead of walking under the flag of Allah Ta’ala. See how you will term that. The mirror is in front of you.

Congratulations

But in all this, you still deserve congratulation for being able to preserve that spark of Imaan that you still have in your heart. Even if the body of your car has scratches, your engine is still in a good state in the sense that it can be repaired and it can be improved. However, if you are satisfied with that little that you have in your heart and you don't make arrangements to repair or amend it, it can become irreparable. May Allah protect us from seeing this day. But it is a reality that we should all know and should all proceed in this direction. It is not too late. We still have the chance as long as we are alive. Let's become for Allah Ta’ala. Let’s live for the sake of Allah Ta’ala. And this will be realised when we will live according to His commandments by following the Mubaarak Tareeqah and principle of our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). This will prevent us from mixing the principles and the way of life of others into ours.
