What will you reply?

If Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) asks you on the day of Qiyaamah, 'why did not you let your face resemble my face', what will you reply? If he asks you, 'what unpleasantness did you see in me that you did not imitate me and what pleasantness did you see in others to grow your hair and shave your beard like them', then, what reply will you have? Stop being stubborn and do not look for excuses. You are at fault and definitely you are at fault. We recognise that there is a category among us who is not being able to practice it even though they have the good will. It is solely Allah Ta’ala who knows their impediment and their difficulty. But most of us are neglecting this Sounnah due to negligence and lack of will. Now, if you don't even have the willpower, you should not lose hope also. You must continue to implore Allah Ta’ala to grant you the willpower. If you are sincere in your Dua, Allah Ta’ala will make it easy for you one day.

We should not forget that if the bulb of our Imaan is not connected with the Nur-e-Muhammadi, it will never light up and we will be in the dark forever. Thus, we should make maximum effort to connect ourselves to the Tareeqah and the Mubaarak principle of our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).
