A way to reform ourselves

Often, we utter certain words without any consideration, and yet they can be very serious and hurtful. One must always speak nicely to the next person. It is not good at all to offend anyone. It is a behaviour that must be corrected. It is very easy to correct oneself if one has the will. Before speaking, one must put oneself in the place of the person whom one has intention to address. How would I feel if people would address me in such a way? And how would I like to be addressed and corrected if ever I made a mistake? It is in this manner that one can correct one's wrong way of speaking to people and one can bring equilibrium in oneself.

Likewise, one can rectify one's way of behaving with people. If one does this exercise for a considerable amount of time, one will be able to correct oneself to a great extent. Otherwise, everyone will abuse the next person when he gets an opportunity and it is the law of the strongest that will prevail.

And beware! One must not think that things will always remain same. One lives in a world where even iron rusts. Thus, above every strong person is another who is more powerful than him and this varies constantly. Someone who is strong today can become very weak tomorrow. And one will bear that which one made others bear. That is why one must not trouble or harm others if one wants to live in peace. And to get this peace, each one of us must correct himself first. If ever one committed something which is not good, then one must make effort and find a way for this not to repeat itself again.
