THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN

Ramadhan:

  • It is an opportunity to catch up on the delay that occurred during the eleven months.

  • It is an opportunity to remove the rust that got on the heart by committing sins.

  • It is a way to recharge the battery of Imaan of the heart that has been weakened for eleven months. 

  • It is an opportunity to receive the forgiveness of Allah Ta’ala. 

  • It is filled with Barakah.

  • It is filled with Rahmah. 

  • It is an opportunity to receive liberation from hell. 

  • It contains a night (Lailat-ul-Qadr) which is better than a thousand months. 

  • It is a month in which the Sawaab of a Faraz is multiplied by 70. 

  • It is a month in which the Sawaab of a Nafl is equivalent to one Farz. 

  • It is a month during which the Rozi (sustenance) of a Mu'min (believer) is increased. 

  • It is a month during which Allah Ta’ala embellishes Jannah for His pious servants. 

  • It is a month during which the great Shaitan are chained. 

  • It is a month in which Dua is more accepted. 

  • It is a month for spiritual reformation and heart cleansing / servicing.

In a nutshell: Ramadhan is so profitable, rentable and full of benefits that if we had come to know of its value, we would have wished that the whole year be Ramadhan.

Therefore, every Muslim must make the most of this month in order to get maximum benefits in Dunya and Aakhirah. We have dedicated eleven months for Dunya. Let's keep this month for Aakhirah. Life has no guaranty. Who knows, this Ramadhan we are here on earth and perhaps the next Ramadhan, we may not be here. 

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Jibril (Alaihis Salaam) has cursed the one who found the month of Ramadhan but could not receive the forgiveness of Allah Ta’ala." On that, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:  Ameen! (Hakim and Ibn Hibbaan)

That is why it is important to make the most of this sacred month. We must dedicate our time in Tasbeehaat, Zikrullah, Tilaawat-e-Qur’an, Istighfar and the Nafl Salah, especially the Tahajjud Salah and Taraweeh.
