IT IS JUST A JOKE! DO NOT TAKE IT TO HEART
A - Assalaamu Alaikum my brother.
B - Wa'alaikumus Salaam my brother.
A - Where are you going so early?
B – I am in a hurry. I was supposed to be there already by this time.
A - Where?
B - I am learning some Mas’ala from an ‘Aalim.
A - But I have heard that there is no ‘Aalim in Mauritius.
B - There are Ulama. Who told you that there is no ‘Aalim? Isn’t the person by whom I am going to study an ‘Aalim?
A - Yes, there are Ulama, but there isn’t any true ‘Aalim.
B - You know, everyone has their partner in the world. Good people of the past had good and true Ulama. And today, a falsifier like you deserves to get an ‘Aalim like yourself. It is just a joke. Do not take it to heart.
A - Hey, speak seriously. It is not me who is saying that. It’s Deendaar people who are saying that.
B - If a person ill-treats his parents, will you say that he is a Deendaar person?
A –Not really.
B - What will you call him?
A - Let's say we will call him a bad son.
B - If we call him a 'Nimak Haraam', will it be exaggerating?
A - To an extent, you will be right, but it is better not to call him such. But he is such.
B - A person learns Deen and Imaan from an ‘Aalim but he criticises this ‘Aalim, what will you call him?
A – It is clear. He is similar to the one that you have mentioned earlier.
B - I know that you are a bit hesitant to say it. However, we should know that our parents have brought us on earth. Similarly, the Ulama have taught us Deen and Imaan. We should not criticise an ‘Aalim. It is not permissible to denigrate a Qur’an that has been wrongly published. Similarly, it is not permissible to denigrate an ‘Aalim.
A - Yes, I have also heard that Ulama do not have CPE.
B - If I tell you that a doctor does not know how to make tea, do you consider this as a shortcoming?
A - No, it is not a shortcoming as he is not supposed to know this. At least, he has mastered his field well.
B - If you go to the pharmacy to look for tomatoes, onions, potatoes, will you get them there?
A - No. Never as that is not their place.
B - I ask you if it is the pharmacy who is at fault because it does not supply them or is it you who are a fool?
A – It is normal. If anyone looks for vegetables at the pharmacy, people will call him mad, or at least they will make fun of him.
B - An ‘Aalim-e-Deen is here to teach Deen. His subject is Deen. Alhamdulillah, from generation to generation, Muslim children and adults also are learning how to recite the Qur’an, perform Wuzu, Ghusal, Salah and learn the Mas'alas regarding other Ibaadaat. If they are doing that much, Alhamdulillah they have assumed their responsibilities. People, who look for CPE (Certificate of primary education) in an ‘Aalim, is like the fool who goes to the doctor to have his shoe repaired. Well, I am in a hurry. Let me go. Assalaamu Alaikum.
A - Wa'alaikumus Salaam.
