Yahya Bin Saeed Al-Qattaan

Yahya Bin Saeed Al-Qattaan (Rahimahullah) was one among the famous Hafiz of Hadith. A Hafiz of Hadith is someone who memorized 100,000 Hadith. It is surprising to learn that despite this knowledge, he followed Imam Abu Hanifah (Rahimahullah). Imam Ahmad Bin Hambal (Rahimahullah) says:

"I did not see anyone like Yahya Bin Saeed with my eyes."

Aqeedah of the 4 Mazhab

Sheikh 'Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Subki (Rahmatullahi 'alayh) has said in his book "Mu'idun ni'am wa mubidun niqam": “These four Mazhab - all praises be to Allah - are unanimous in their Aqaa'id (plural of Aqeedah) - with the exception of those who have linked themselves to Mu'tazilah (a deviated sect) and to the Mujassamah (another deviated sect).

FOLLOWING AN IMAAM

When we do not know, we should follow a person who knows. It is absolutely normal and logical that we must be accompanied by those who have experience and know the way when we have to make a journey at sea. No one will say otherwise. Similarly, we should seek help from someone who knows Deen in order to know for sure what Allah Ta’ala and His Rasul (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) have said. This will help us to practice Deen as we should.

COMPILATION OF FIQH HANAFI

Fiqh Hanafi is not the opinion of only one person. It is the work of a team. Imaam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullahi 'alayh) had 40 students who had reached the level of Ijtihaad. Imaam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullahi 'alayh) used to gather them to discuss the Mas'ala. At times, a Mas'ala was under study for a month or more before being finalised. Therefore, the compilation of Fiqh Hanafi is a work of a whole team under the noble principle of Shura.

ANARCHY AND ITS HARMFUL OUTCOME

If we give the public the freedom to practice upon everyone's opinion, it will lead the public to anarchy. That is, the general public will tend to follow and hold on to the opinion which is in his favour, advantage and interest. Therefore, he will listen to so-called soft music according to the opinion of those who authorise it. Similarly, he will contract temporary marriages according to the opinion of others, especially when there is possibility for him to find something in the Qur’an which apparently supports his tendency.
