Marriage

Romancing

A boy and a girl are not allowed to romance before Nikah. It is living in Haraam. Unfortunately parents also tolerate this practice. Parents who love their children should not allow this practice. They expose their children to divine curse. And on the other hand, they are also under the curse of Allah Ta'ala. Why not marry them off one time? Are the preparations and the fantasies more important or is it more essential to avoid Haraam? We delay marriage due to our personal fantasies. And that induces us to do many wrong things!

Food in the bin

Polygamy or bigamy has always existed. But people attribute all types of undignified names to it. When we say that it exists, it does not mean that we are encouraging people to do that. We are only pointing out to the fact that it is an absolutely Halaal practice. We should not criticise something which was practiced by Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and his Sahabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallaahu Anhum). There is the possibility of losing our Imaan. We should be very careful when we speak about that.

Performing Nikah during a pregnancy caused by Zina

It should be noted that there is a difference of opinion in the case where a woman falls pregnant by Zina with a man and after that she marries another man. Does the woman have the right to perform Nikah with someone else or not? Imam Abu Yusuf (Rahmatullaahi Alayh) says that she does not have the right. Imam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullahah Alayh) and Imam Muhammad (Rahmatullahi Alayh) say that she is allowed to perform Nikah but copulation is not allowed before the woman gives birth because the child is not for the current husband.

Negligence over negligence

Nowadays, we know how the youngsters are. Even before getting married, they already start living as husband and wife. But, how will one blame the youngsters when the so-called elders themselves are displaying similar conducts? If they themselves are doing it, it means that it is not worth expecting them to discipline the youth appropriately. What can the elders do in such a situation besides keeping quiet and approving the actions of the youth by their silence?

Woman

Previously, women were not worth any consideration. They did not even have any importance in the family unit or the society. It is Islam who gave them their dignity and true value in the first place. Jannah is found under the feet of the mother. This is a Hadith of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). The status which Islam gave to women is evident through this Hadith of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Women were once considered a burden or dishonour. There was a time when girls were buried alive by their own father!

Living according to one's desires

When the relationship between a young girl and boy has been fixed and consented by the parents then what remains to be done? It is very simple. One must marry them off as soon as possible. Why should there be delay in marrying them off? Some present the excuse that things are not ready. This is due to the house not being ready yet or the boy or girl not having completed their studies or the family deciding to organise a big wedding and the preparations are not done yet. Or the brother or sister is abroad and have no holidays as yet.

The best gift

The best gift in Dunya is a woman who practices Deen. Practising Deen means to adapt one's whole life according to the commandments of Allah Ta'ala and the principles of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). In this sense, a good woman is one who adapts one's whole life according to Deen. A wife who is Deendaar cannot disobey her husband. It is a wife who does not have the knowledge of Deen or who does not have the will to act according to her knowledge in Deen who will disobey her husband.
