REGRET OF THE MADNESS OF YOUTH

I have a great regret in my life. I would not want the same thing to happen to you. I feel that I have wasted my time, energy and courage in futile and useless things. While I was absorbed in the madness of my youth, I did not realise that there is also a stage of old age where at times, one becomes a burden to even those whom one has given everything of oneself.

What a Muslim should conceal

A person should conceal the shortcomings of the next person. It is not permissible for a Muslim being a Muslim to disclose the shortcomings of the next person. Just as it is Haraam to consume beer, wine and swine, similarly, it is also Haraam to disclose the shortcomings of a person.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "...The one who conceals (the shortcomings) of a Muslim, Allah Ta’ala will conceal his shortcomings in this world and in the Aakhirah."

Admire Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wa salam)

When we admire someone, we admire everything of his - his dressing, his hairstyle, his manners and his character.

When someone admires something, he will follow suit. So, when we admire Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), we should admire all his sayings and actions.

A GOOD DEAL FOR INVESTORS

A good trader is interested in goods that require a little investment with a high margin of profit within a short time without making much effort. Such goods are very rare in the local markets. By the grace of Allah Ta’ala, we have many imported goods from abroad which we have the pleasure to offer you!

The slogan of our commerce is:

Earn a lot, without a cent

GOOD CHARACTER

A person, who has Deen, must also have good character as good character is nothing else other than Deen. It is a part of Deen. Therefore, to claim that so and so person is in Deen but does not have good character, is a false pretension. There are two possibilities: either his judgment is not good or the person does not have Deen in him. Or there may be a third possibility. He may have an erroneous and distorted conception of Deen and good character.

JEALOUSY

Wishing for the misfortune of a person in regards to a favour or something good that he possesses is called jealousy. For example, if a person's heart burns when he sees another person in well-being and he wishes for his misfortune, it means that this person is jealous of the person who is in well-being.

Regulations of jealousy

I learnt/it came to my attention ...

During the time of the Abbasid Caliphate, there was a great Alim in Baghdad who had a high reputation and was highly regarded in the eyes of people.

Once, there was a conversation between him and a person.

The person: "Do you know what I heard concerning your friend?"
