Jazakallah and not thank you

When a person helps us or does us a favour, we tell him thank you. Saying thank you to a person is a way of thanking him.

Wishing for misfortune

There is no good fortune in wishing for the misfortune of a person. On the contrary, it is very unfortunate for a person to wish for the misfortune of the next person. By wishing for the misfortune of the next person, a person renders himself miserable. Night and day, he keeps worrying about the next person. This troubles him and harms his health. And he develops an illness which cannot be diagnosed by the doctor.

A good servant

A good servant is the one who establishes a special and privileged “Ta'alluq” (contact) with his Rabb.

Preserving our language

"The tongue has no bones."  Often, one hears people say this. This signifies that it moves freely just uttering anything. At times, it speaks good words and at times, it utters useless talk or a statement which is the cause of his misfortune.

That is why the Shariah has put a lot of emphasis on preserving the tongue.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:

EFFORT AND COMFORT

The effort that a person does for his worldly comfort is an effort that overrides its comfort as he merely has a little time to live on earth. Therefore, he will enjoy it merely for a short while. On the other hand, the effort that he makes for his comfort in Aakhirah after death is a commendable effort. If he has to make effort during his entire life, then too, he will take benefit as the comfort in Aakhirah is an eternal comfort.

Do not behave like fools

Do not spend this little time that you live on this earth to acquire only a small portion of land of a few yards. You should rather use this little time to get Jannah which is at least 10 times the size of this Dunya.

AN INTELLIGENT PERSON?

A person, who burns a candle worth one or two rupees to look for a coin of fifty cents that was lost, cannot be a person of great intelligence. Leave alone money, he has wasted his precious time also. At the end of the day, what did he get? Fifty cents that represents nothing at all and does not even cover the cost of what he has spent.
